Pastor Bobby’s Church Team had a great first couple days of work on the Men’s Home. They worked on windows, and took out some stairs

Pastor Bobby’s VBS has been having a great time with the children in the community. They have been learning about Jesus’ Parables, making crafts and playing a bunch of fun parachute games.

The Tierra Madre Team began work on the community wall, painted at the playground, and help clean a home for new residents.

The Cristo Rey Church Team started work on breaking apart 2 sets of concrete stairs, it’s a slow process but they made some good headway. They also started installing some cabinets and doing interior work. **Update: as of 1pm on 6/22 the stairs are officially gone, out of here, history!!

The Cristo Rey VBS Team had a great first day, playing board games with kids, making them lunch, helping them with their reading program, leaning about how God’s love grows in us like seeds, and sang some fun songs with actions.

The Ministry Team kicked the week off with 2 performances at the Guadalupana Clinic and at the Tierra Madre community. Their musical is a selection of songs from the musical Godspell that tells the story of a bunch of Jesus’ parables. They are also performing at Cristo Rey Church, Pastor Bobby’s Church, UTEP campus, and the Ysleta Mission. Prepare the way of the Lord!!

The Ysleta Mission Team has been working on restoring a housing building damaged in a fire. They have been re-roofing, replacing the doors and windows, and working on the interior.

The Guadalupana Clinic Team has been working on painting the entire building. They’ve been troopers to take on this huge project and are even making it pretty by painting flowers.

After a fabulous Sunday of going to local churches, playing ball in the Sun Bowl, and a delightfully entertaining talent show; we are all rested, pumped up and ready to head out into El Paso and get out hands dirty! We have teams going north, south, east and west to do roofing and a mission, building a wall in a community, painting a clinic, maintenance at a church, construction at a mens home, teaching the Bible to children and our traveling ministry team is doing 2 performances of their musical Godspell. It's gonna a fun day, full of hard work, and having fun with new friends. We can't wait to see what God has in store for us!! Thanks again for your prayers!!

Both flights made the long trip down south to the border safely and we're here in El Paso!!! We had a great afternoon of getting settled, a little free time, yummy dinner, evening chapel and some hard core volleyball. Everyone is super excited for the days to come and all the work God is going to do. Now it's off to sleep to get some rest for a full day tomorrow.
